My Story

I’ve been telling stories through a camera for as long as I can remember. From childhood days with disposable film cameras to studying film and design at the University of Montana. What began as curiosity for light and composition slowly grew into a lifelong passion for capturing moments that mean something.

After years spent photographing portraits, products, and real estate, I found myself drawn back to what truly moves me: storytelling through human connection. Weddings have a kind of magic that nothing else compares to. The nervous laughter, the quiet in-between glances, the overwhelming joy shared by family and friends. I realized I wanted to spend my days surrounded by that kind of love, helping couples preserve it in a way that feels real and lasting.

Now based in Madison, Wisconsin, I created Hearthlight Studio as a space to craft wedding films that feel authentic, cinematic, and deeply personal. My goal is simple: to give you a film that feels like you. One that brings back not just the sights of your day, but the warmth and emotion of every moment.
